Small Initiative that turned into a Dream to others – Zoom Car

Zoomcar is a self-drive car rental company headquartered in BangaloreIndia. The company was founded in 2013 by David Back and Greg Moran. as of now, the company is operating in 30 cities across the country.

This company was started by American duo David Back and Greg Moran.  Both were dropped out of business school to move to India and to start their business Zoom, but in May 2015, one of the partners David decided to resign from self-driven car rental service and moved back to the US because of some personal reasons

Currently, Greg Moran is leading zoom car as the only CEO.

Greg is bachelors of arts in international relations from the University of Pennsylvania, the place where David Back and Greg Moran met while studying. Later the pair also went on to business school with full scholarships, Moran at the University of Southern California and Back at the Judge Business School at Cambridge University.

By launching zoom car in Feb. 2013 Greg became the first person to provide India with its first self-driven car rental service.

Who knew that this startup will become the largest self-driven car rental company in the world but with the hard work, consistency, and dedication this company made it to the top.

Mr. Greg is also fond of cooking and eating competitions, just like his company, he also rules the kitchen with equal aplomb.

Passion for the culinary arts germinated at a young age. “My mother is Italian. Like Indian mothers, they love to cook -from a scratch -for their kids. I grew up on great food. Living in diverse New York, you also indulge in world cuisine like Chinese, Japanese and Indian. Before I went to study International Relations at the University of Pennsylvania, my mother taught me cooking,” recalls Moran

Recently zoom car launched the cycle rental service name “PEDL” in which one can also rent a bicycle. Initially, this service is available in 12 major cities and coming soon to more.  The zoom car has launched electric motor vehicles in Rajasthan’s Digifest, both of the concepts are made to provide the cost effective commuting and to lower down the carbon footprint.
